LANSING, MI (WHTC) – MIRS News reports that Governor Snyder has met with state school superintendent-designate Brian Whiston ahead of the new man replacing the retiring Mike Flanagan at the end of this month. The news agency said that Whitson came away from the 45-minute discussion with the impression that Mr. Snyder “was excited to have me on board.” Some in the Democratic-controlled state school board wanted someone to “stand up” to the Republican Governor when Whitson was appointed.
