LANSING, MI (WHTC) – A series of five bills that would establish state regulation of Uber and other transportation network companies in Michigan has cleared the House and is now headed to the Senate. This industry is currently unharnessed, with special interest groups such as insurance carriers and professional ride carriers stating their claims for some form of regulation. The bills would set up a series of fees and standards that Uber and other TNC outlets must adhere to in order to operate in this state.
