LANSING, MI (WHTC) – As speculation swirls in Lansing as to whether Governor Snyder will sign legislation ending the state’s film incentive program, the director of the Michigan Film Office told MIRS News that the agency will continue to promote the industry with or without the funding. The Michigan Film Office had existed for about three decades before the incentive program began in the second term of the Granholm Administration.
Governor Snyder has said in the past he’s against ending the program outright.
