DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Detroit Red Wings forward and Muskegon native Justin Abdelkader is one of five players with Michigan ties named to the USA hockey team. Abdelkader joins University of Michigan player Matty Beniers, Jason Robertson from Northville, Detroit’s Matt Roy, and Rochester native Christian Wolanin on the roster.
Team USA will compete in the IIHF Men’s World Championship in Latvia starting May 22, 2021.
