LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The GOP-majority caucus in the Michigan Senate holds a closed-door session Tuesday, and according to MIRS News, they are expected to discuss a road funding plan that would reportedly include raising the gas tax 15 cents per gallon over three installments to generate $700 million in revenue, along with $500 million in cuts and putting in place a triggered state income tax rate cut.
Senators are expected to work on Tuesday and Wednesday before the Independence Day holiday extended weekend.
