LANSING, MI (WHTC) – An automated system to keep track of state corrections officers during their on-duty work has been expanded to all correctional facilities in Michigan. The State Administrative Board approved a $1.3 million contract with MKC Group to install the system that has been in use in four prisons since 2006.
Officials with the Michigan Department of Corrections told MIRS News that it would take about a year to set this up in every housing unit and every segregation unit of every facility statewide.
