LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan Agency for Energy encourages propane customers statewide to lock in prices now for the upcoming heating season. Despite supplies about 13 percent higher than the five-year average nationwide, agency officials say that taking action during the summer months will serve as a hedge against possible circumstances similar to that of the Winter of 2014 in which prices substantially spiked. Nearly nine percent of state householders rely on propane as their primary heating fuel.
