GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – Grand Rapids authorities blocked the Ann Street exits off of US-131, along with Turner Avenue and Ann Street, for a couple of hours following an early afternoon incident at Haviland Enterprises. Company officials say that a mishap on a packaging line where multiple chemicals are blended and used released mostly oxygen, although what led to the incident wasn’t immediately determined. There were no reports of injuries. This is the third such situation at Haviland’s in the past 16 months.
