THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – How can someone disappear for 9 months without anyone noticing? In the case of Phillip Feek Jr, someone did as Coldwater State Police found out. Feek’s body was found in St. Joseph County in his parents home on Buckhorn Road north of Three Rivers a week ago today. The autopsy determined he died in October 2014 but apparently they are still waiting for toxicology tests to say what killed him.
Family members say they thought he was in prison, and he would have been if he had served a full two year term for drunk driving third offense. He apparently got out early and moved into the home of his parents who had died earlier in the year. A few weeks after Feek died, he was listed as a parole absconder but apparently no one in Law Enforcement went looking for him.
His body went undiscovered until last Monday when State Police troopers were called by a neighbor who suspected someone was burglarizing the place.
