EAST LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan High School Athletic Association reported a five-percent drop among its members that assessed participation fees to help fund interscholastic athletics during the just-complete 2015 Academic Year. However, 269 of the 522 high schools that responded to a MHSAA survey did charge fees, a 51.5 percent rate. The median per-sport median fee also fell 10 dollars to 75 dollars. This was the 11th annual survey by the association, with more than half of schools assessing fees since 2011.
