KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities say a person was struck and killed by a train late Tuesday night just east of downtown Kalamazoo.
Officers were called to an area of tracks near E. Michigan Ave. and Riverview Drive just before 11:30. The victim is said to be a 19-year-old Kalamazoo resident.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused them to be in the path of the train. Life-saving efforts were made at the scene but were not successful.
