PLAINWELL, MI (WHTC) – State House Representative Cindy Gamrat and her office have remained silent since Friday’s allegation that the Plainwell housewife had an adulterous affair with fellow freshman Republican lawmaker Todd Courser of Lapeer. Gamrat canceled scheduled public appearances today in Saugatuck and in Pullman. Allegan County Republican Party Chairman Steve McNeal is among a number of leaders calling for Gamrat’s resignation. A state House panel is investigating the matter.
