LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Michigan House of Representatives investigators have computers and e-mail records from two members involved in a complex affair coverup. House Speaker Kevin Cotter says analysis of the evidence will determine the next steps in the case.
State Representative Todd Courser admits he plotted to misdirect attention from his relationship with Representative Cindy Gamrat. Courser explained on social media that texts from an anonymous number threatened to expose his extramarital activities, leading to his plan.
The “Detroit News” has reported that the Lapeer Republican sent an e-mail from a private account to make up allegations of sex with a male prostitute to deflect pressure.
