ST. JOSEPH, MI (WHTC) – State Senate Energy and Technology Committee Co-Chairman John Proos has asked state Attorney General Bill Schuette to open an investigation into a gas price spike stemming from a refinery “mechanical breakdown” in Indiana. The St. Joseph Republican questions the “approximately 80-cent increase” and feels that motorists are being taken advantage of by “artificially high prices.”
The refiner claims that it could take a month for repairs to be made at the facility.
