LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Not much has come out of Lansing thus far as a state House-Senate conference committee is attempting to iron out differences in separate road funding bills that each chamber had passed. The two measures are about two billion dollars annually apart and have differing formulas. House Speaker Kevin Cotter is hopeful that a compromise agreement can be reached in time for Representatives to vote on it by Thursday, when they recess again for two weeks until after Labor Day.
