LANSING, MI (WHTC) – A new nationwide television ad campaign that began last night heralded a stepped up drunken driving enforcement effort across Michigan and around the country that will run through September 7th. State police will be working with local law enforcement entities in concentrated road surveillance, as this period includes Labor Day weekend and college dorm move-in periods. Funding for the additional patrols in Michigan comes from a federal grant funneled through the State Office of Highway Safety Planning.
