FENTON (WKZO-AM) — Over 1,000 citizens and police officers from all over the region turned out Tuesday in Fenton to attend the funeral of State Trooper Chad Wolf, who was killed last Friday in a traffic mishap north of Detroit.
The event packed the gym at Fenton High School.
Wolf’s coffin was draped with the state flag.
“He excelled in investigations and patrol, he was kind, compassionate, respectful and patient — a true warrior and guardian of public safety,” Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue, the director of the Michigan State Police, said during Wolf’s eulogy.
Wolf, 38, leaves behind a wife and four children.
