LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Over one-point-five percent of people in the state of Michigan will be traveling 50 or more miles from home this Labor Day weekend.
Triple-A’s Susan Hiltz says the warm weather plays a factor this weekend as well as the economy and gas prices.
The average price of gas today Tuesday September 2, was at two-dollars-47-cents, down a dollar eleven from last year according to Triple-A.
The auto-club projects roughly one-point-two million people in the state will travel, with 89-percent driving and four-percent flying.
