LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Without Governor Snyder, who was attending the funeral of slain State Trooper Chad Wolf, Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley met with the four top leaders of the two Legislative chambers yesterday to discuss the current road funding impasse. All five participants agreed that progress continues to be made, but wouldn’t commit as to when a compromise deal would emerge. A stumbling block apparently is trying to address budget cuts in order to spend more on roads. Lawmakers return to Lansing next Tuesday.
