KALAMAZOO, MI (WHTC) – In his monthly survey of West Michigan purchasing managers, Grand Valley State Director of Supply Chain Management Research Brian Long says that economic growth slowed in the region during August. The poll continued to show optimism in new orders and production, although at a far less rate than in July, and Dr. Long said that this may be a seasonal trend due to similar results during the same poll last year. Employment and purchasing indices also showed similar reduced positive figures.
