LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Firefighters across Michigan are shocked and saddened after what happened yesterday. Witnesses say a man in a pickup truck intentionally ran down and killed a Lansing fireman who was helping collect donations in a Fill the Boot fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy. 35-year old Dennis Rodeman died last night from his injuries.
A 22-year old suspect is in custody and will face murder charges.
Rodeman is survived by his wife. They were expecting their first child. He was an Iraqi war veteran. No word yet from police on what prompted the alleged crime.
