LANSING, MI — Governor Gretchen Whitmer spent part of her Tuesday at the M-59 Hall Road Rebuilding Michigan project in Clinton Township for a National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week event.
The event is meant to encourage drivers to slow down in work zones as more work is now being done statewide.
Several new road construction projects began this week in the Lansing area. Overnight closures are happening at US-127 and Holt Road for bridge work at that exit. In addition, I-496 in downtown Lansing could see delays for bridge work at Main Street (Lansing Road).
