KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – UPDATE: A woman arrested for her involvement in a Kalamazoo Township double homicide will stand trial, according to a report from MLive Tuesday.
Previously, police were investigating the double homicide of Floyd Lee Brashers Junior and Katoya Johnna McPherson, who were reported dead on December 29, 2020. Police say the incident occurred in the 3500 block of Parkside Drive.
On February 22, police arrested 19-year-old Tonesha Taylor-McMillon on two counts of open murder.
Following this development, on March 29, police arrested a 24-year-old man on two counts of felony murder, three counts of felony firearm, and one count of first degree home invasion. That suspect was identified as Dangelo Davis of Kalamazoo.
The two suspects are siblings, according to MLive.
MLive reported that Taylor-McMillon drove Davis and her younger brother, who has not been identified, to the area where the murder victims lived. Taylor-McMillon drove them away from the scene after they committed the act, which was later confirmed by Davis to police.
Davis told police that the shooting was in revenge for the pair allegedly stealing his vehicle at a previous date.
MLive reported that Taylor-McMillon waived her pretrial hearing, and Davis will have his pretrial exam on May 21. Both remain in custody at this time.
