PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Portage are investigating a shooting incident that took place on Tuesday.
Around 10:15 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Colonial Avenue, where an unidentified vehicle stopped in front of a residence and opened fire.
At least 12 shots were heard, and several struck the occupied residence. One round almost hit an occupant inside.
Police say this is the second shots fired incident at the same residence. The first incident occurred in November of 2020, but were different individuals living in the home at that time.
In that incident, a 2014 or 2015 silver Mustang was seen in the area at the time shots were fired.
