WASHINGTON, DC – Georgetown coach and NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing has tested positive for COVID-19 and is being treated at a hospital. The school said the 57-year-old Ewing is the only member of its men’s program who has contracted the coronavirus. As a player, Ewing helped Georgetown win the 1984 NCAA men’s basketball championship and also won gold medals with Team USA at the 1984 and 1992 Olympics. An 11-time NBA All-Star, Ewing averaged 22.8 points and 10.4 rebounds during a 15-year career with the Knicks, SuperSonics, and Magic.
