BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A fire that broke out early Wednesday morning in a duplex-style structure at 4 South 22nd Street in Battle Creek is under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
The blaze was reported at about 5:15 a.m.. Flames and smoke were showing throughout the unit when Battle Creek firefighters arrived.
The dwelling was not occupied at the time and it was undergoing renovations. The adjoining unit was not damaged.
No injuries were reported.
Damages were limited to the first floor and were estimated at $75,000.
