CONSTANTINE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A police chase in St. Joseph County earlier this week ended with a suspect in custody after he crashed into a tree.
Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop the driver of a pickup truck on Stears Rd. near U.S. 131 in Constantine Township Monday afternoon. The driver fled at a high rate of speed and was pursued to the area of N River Rd where he drove into a wooded area and crashed into a tree. He fled on foot and was later located by a police K-9 from Three Rivers.
The suspect was identified as a 56-year-old male from Constantine who had outstanding felony warrants. His name was not released.
