DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – Spencer Torkelson, who was the first overall pick in the Major League Baseball Draft last month, put on a batting practice show for the Detroit Tigers over the weekend at Comerica Park.
Detroit manager Ron Gardenhire said Torkelson brought back memories of Joe Mauer, who the Twins drafted first overall in 2001, Jason Beck reports on the Tigers website.
