KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Several new developments in downtown Kalamazoo have happened in recent years, and one plot of land the city has singled out as prime real estate is 140 South Edwards.
City Development Director Antonio Mitchell is looking for just the right developer to build a structure that would offer commercial and residential space.
“It could probably a five-story building or higher. As we know with the Exchange building, that’s a pretty big building, 15 stories. If someone wanted to come in and would like to develop something that big, that would be great.”
The next big addition to Kalamazoo’s skyline will be the County’s new $95-million Justice Center, which was given the green light for construction this week.
