SOUTH BEND, IN (WTVB) – Notre Dame and the ACC have had discussions about the Fighting Irish competing as a conference member in football for the 2020 season.
Notre Dame is looking to fill games lost on its schedule due to the Big Ten and Pac-12’s decision to play only within their conference this season, and the ACC is considering having its teams play an 11-game schedule that would contain 10 conference games and include the Fighting Irish, who compete in the ACC in all sports except for football.
Notre Dame was already slated to face six ACC teams this season.
