KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo firefighters were called out the 1500 block of Stockbridge Avenue Saturday on a call of a vehicle fire that also extended to a residence.
On scene, the first arriving officers rushed inside the structure and safely evacuated the remaining residents while an initial fire suppression effort halted the spread of the flames. The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes and there were minor injuries of smoke inhalation treated on the scene.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
