Battle Creek area fire destroys garage work shop and leaves two goats dead

PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek-area fire Saturday afternoon caused heavy damage to a garage and some vehicles, and also left two goats dead.

Pennfield Township firefighters were called at around 2:30 p.m. to a home in the 10000 block of Bellevue Rd. When they arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in smoke and flames. An all-terrain vehicle and a car were also damaged.

The cause remains undetermined. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
