BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two firefighters are recovering after crews responded to an early morning blaze that severely damaged a Battle Creek home.
The Battle Creek Fire Department was sent the home on Keith Dr. near North Avenue just after 5:15 A.M. on Friday, January 10th. Three engines and several dispatched firefighters began work to estinguish the blaze, which involved the basebment and two top floors of the unoccupied house.
Department officials say that the fire was estinguished quickly upon arrival, and two of the responding firefighters recieved minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
Firefighters are unsure of the source of the fire, which is now under investigation.
