BARRY COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Barry County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that one man has died following a fatal car crash on Tuesday, January 28.
Just before 3 p.m., police were called to M-37 Hwy, Whiskey Run Dr. regarding a two-vehicle crash.
Police say that a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on M-37 Hwy, crossed the centerline and struck a southbound Chevrolet Silverado head on.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was identified as a 49-year-old Hastings man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as Keith Stearns.
The southbound vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old woman with an approximately 4-year old child from Dowling, MI. The woman and child were transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
