ALBION, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A suspect is in custody the day after robbers assualted and tied up a store cleark at an Albion gardening supply business.
The Albion Department of Public Safety is saying that they have apprehended a person of interest in the robbery. The incident happened on Monday, February 10th, at the Albion Hydroponics store on N. Eaton Street.
Officers say two men entered the store and threatened a worker with a gun, proceeded to physically assault them, and then left the victim tied up in a bathroom before fleeing the scene. The suspects stole an unspecified amount of cash from the location and made off in a large vehicle.
Following the robbery police were able to locate a U-Haul van with stolen property inside, believed to be connected to the incident.
No additional information regarding the suspects has been released at this time.
