CASS COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three people were injured after a driver ran his vehicle off the road and hit a tree on a highway in Cass County.
Just after noon on Thursday, February 13th the Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate the crash that happened when a 17-year-old Niles Resident veered off of US-12 near Gumwood Road in Milton Township, hitting a nearby tree.
The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, resulting in injuries to the driver and two other passengers.
Both the male driver and one other male passenger were transported by ambulance to a hospital to be treated for their injuries. Another female passenger was treated for minor injuries at the scene and later released.
Officers say that they do not believe that any intoxicating substances were a factor in the crash, but the incident is currently subject to an ongoing investigation.
