KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The search continues for a suspect involved in a shooting on Kalamazoo’s Northside after the man that was arrested was not the shooter.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon on North Church Street near Prouty Street when a 22-year-old Kalamazoo man was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Moments later, a man who was seen running from the area holding a handgun was arrested, but now authorities tell MLive he has been ruled out as a possible suspect.
That man will be arraigned Thursday for carrying a concealed weapon and for an outstanding warrant, but at last reported the Northside shooting suspect remains at large.
