PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Portage Public Safety officers are looking into the cause of a recent apartment fire.
It broke out just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at one of the units in the 6200 block of Village Green Circle at The View Apartment complex off of Constitution Boulevard.
When firefighters arrived they found black smoke coming from the door of a main floor apartment and quickly brought the fire under control in about 10-minutes.
They searched the home and said the apartment was unoccupied at the time.
The cause was never released and no injuries were reported.
