PENN TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An armed robbery suspect is tracked down by K-9 in Cass County.
It happened around 6:30 Friday evening when sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a robbery that took place at the Dollar General store in Vandalia.
Investigators confirm that a 32-year-old male entered the store and led the employee on duty to believe that he had a weapon while requesting money.
The suspect then left the store, entered an occupied vehicle, and requested a ride. After being denied, he then fled on foot.
Sheriff’s deputies deployed K-9 Faust who tracked down the suspect at an address on Mulberry Street in Vandalia. The suspect was then placed under arrest for armed robbery.
The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment in the 4th District Court.
