BATTLE CREEK, MI – (WNWN) – No injuries were reported Sunday night when a semi-truck overturned on the grounds of Post Foods.
The driver of the vehicle was still inside the cab when rescue crews arrived.
He was not hurt but an attic ladder had to be used to extricate him.
A Hazardous Materials unit had to mitigate the hazard of leaking fuel from the fuel tanks and help with the transfer of 48,000 pounds of liquid sugar from the trailer.
The Battle Creek Fire Department managed to contain the spilled material.
