ST. JOSEPH, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Boys and Girls Club site leader is accused of grabbing a teen by the throat at St. Joseph High School.
51-year-old Chris Glisson of Coloma has been charged with assault by strangulation for an incident that occurred toward the end of a school day on February 20th. The Berrien County Prosecuting Attorney said in a statement that the altercation was caught on video and witnessed among bystanders.
Witnesses say Glisson was having a conversation with an 18-year-old student, who dated his daughter and recently broke up, when he went after the teen and put his hands around the student’s throat.
The charge of assault by strangulation is a felony that carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
Glisson is being held on a $5000 dollar bond and his preliminary exam is set for March 19th.
