SPRINGFIELD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek area man is in jail after crashing a car into a convenience store, and then leaving the scene of an accident.
Calhoun County Police say the 47-year-old male drove a car through the front wall of a convenience store around 7:15 Saturday evening in the 500 block of Avenue A in Springfield.
No one was injured in the crash, and police were able to locate both the vehicle and the driver after a detailed description given by a store employee.
Authorities say the Springfield resident faces charges for leaving the scene of an accident, driving while intoxicated, and driving without a license.
