PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man is recovering from a gunshot wound after he accidentally shot himself near Battle Creek.
Calhoun County Sheriff deputies were called to the 8,000 block of Swift Road off of Capital Avenue in Pennfield Township around midnight on Wednesday after a report of a shooting.
There they found the 66-year-old man who apparently suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound while he was adjusting the gun on his waistband.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other details have been released at this time.
