KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A teen is seriously injured after a pedestrian hit and run crash in Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Reed Avenue near Portage Street.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers located the victim, a 15-year-old Kalamazoo girl, down in the roadway, but she was unable to provide any details about the incident.
The victim was rushed to Bronson Hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities spoke with witnesses and used security camera footage to reveal more information on the incident.
They say a suspect in a dark colored sedan ran over the teen in the roadway and then fled the scene, leaving westbound on Reed. The make and model of the vehicle are unknown.
