LANSING, MI — All flags across the state are flying at half-staff until March 20 to honor former Attorney General Frank Kelley. The former AG’s family announced his passing last Friday.
Governor Whitmer announced the flag lowering on Saturday following his death at 96. Kelley was attorney general for 37 years from 1961 until 1999.
Known as the “eternal general,” Kelley was appointed by Governor John Swainson.
