KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A boil water advisory is in place for select residents in Kalamazoo’s Milwood Neighborhood.
City officials are working with the Michigan Department of Transportation as well as Kamminga & Roodvoets, Inc. to connect a new water main on East Cork Street to the existing water main on Fulford Street.
The work means a precautionary boil water advisory is being issued for the following areas:
- Fulford Street – From East Cork Street to Cambridge Drive, both sides of the street.
- Cambridge Drive – Only the southwest and southeast corners of Cambridge Drive and Fulford Street.
- Sheridan Drive – Only the southwest and southeast corners of Sheridan Drive and Fulford Street.
However, it excludes the northwest corner of Fulford Street and East Cork Street.
Residents should boil their water for two minutes prior to consuming or use bottled water for the time being.
Once tests come back officials hope to lift the advisory by Thursday, April 23.
