LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Lack of funding for dams in Michigan has resulted in issues with integrity, as a report by the Department of Energy, Great Lakes, and Environment states.
The report explains that funding for upkeep and repair has been outpaced by deterioration of the dams.
That situation resulted in two dam failures last year, and the report emphasizes that the state is headed for even more failures if money is not allocated for the necessary updating.
