KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police surrounded a home in Kalamazoo’s Comstock neighborhood on Thursday afternoon after an assault was reported.
The Kalamazoo Metro SWAT team and other law enforcement agencies arrived at the 6000 block of East H Avenue for a felonious assault investigation around 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 21st.
Kalamazoo County Undersheriff James VanDyken has said that a dog at the household was shot and killed by an officer after they were seen charging.
Police received a call about the assault at 1:50 p.m. prompting more patrols to arrive in the area.
