KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety authorities are looking into a shooting incident Friday morning in the Edison Neighborhood.
At around 1 a.m., officers were called to the 1000 block of Hays Park on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a 44-year-old woman with a graze wound to her side.
She was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Information provided by the victim led authorities to locate a suspect in Portage, where he was arrested.
The 42-year-old man is being charged with felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearms, and also has an outstanding warrant.
