A Kalamazoo resident is facing charges for operating while intoxicated, causing a serious crash on Memorial Day.
Public Safety officers were called to the intersection of Portage Street and Vine Street around 6 p.m. Monday for a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a sedan.
When they arrived they found the motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries. He was treated by emergency responders at the scene before being transferred to a local hospital.
Officers then located the other involved vehicle in the 500 block of Lake Street and spoke with witnesses.
A 34-year-old Kalamazoo resident was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Additional charges are also being sought.
